Internet connection for CloudBoX

The following is required to connect the HortiMaX-Go! and the CloudBoX to the Cloud.

• Cabled internet connection (LAN).
• A router with a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server function; this is required for the distribution of IP addresses. The router must have a sufficient number of ports to connect each Controller to the CloudBoX.

The HortiMaX-Go! does not support Wi-Fi. If not enough ports are available, a network switch may be used.

Router with DHCP

The router requires a fixed/open internet connection. It does not need to be a fast connection; 3G or 4G will suffice. There are many 4G modem routers available. We recommend buying one in the country where the Go! has been installed. Many of these routers are sold in combination with a sim card for data use. The required data allowance depends on the configuration size and the customer's data usage. Normally, a monthly data allowance of 1 GB will be more than sufficient.

Please note that only one DHCP server is allowed in a network.
